“First of all, I congratulate the opponent. We know that Urartu is one of the best teams in Armenia. They play very good football, and we had done the appropriate analysis.
In the first half, thanks to our high pressing, we recovered many balls. The tactics we chose were correct. We did not create many chances, but Urartu did not either. Each team had one or two opportunities.
In the second half, we knew that the last 30 minutes would be decisive. The players who came on as substitutes did not help the team enough, and that did not make me happy. I had also said in the dressing room that the final part of the match would be decisive, but our performance at the end did not satisfy me.
I am unhappy with the result because it is very negative for us. A 3:0 scoreline is not impossible to overturn, but it is very difficult. We understand that. However, it is more important than the result to understand our game.
In the first half we acted correctly. But in the second half, when we made several changes and wanted to maintain the intensity of the game and the high pressing, we were not able to do it.
We created two or three chances, although not very clear ones, and we knew that against such an experienced and quality opponent, if you do not take your chances, the game becomes even more difficult.
We need greater balance and emotional stability. That is what dissatisfied me in this match.”
