AWI was founded in 2001 by entrepreneur and benefactor Hratch Kaprielian who had a goal to establish development, manufacturing and assembly of high-quality watches in his fatherland Armenia. The company has played a crucial role in the development of horology in the Republic of Armenia, and the AWI brand managed to become a guarantee of continuity, durability and trustworthiness.
With over 2000 square metres of surface spread over five floors, the AWI Manufactory, located in the heart of Yerevan, Armenia, houses watchmaking activities from design and prototyping to production and quality control. The manufactory can count on a team of extremely well-trained and specialized watchmakers, whose knowledge and skills are by far the company’s most valuable asset. Cutting-edge computer aided design software is used to assist in the watch design and development processes. Machines and tools of the latest generation are used throughout all operations of manufacturing, assembly and testing.
